Hollywood Clapboard

We all have favorite scenes from Hollywood movies. Here is a prop that gives an opportunity for a group to review their favorite scenes from their adventure experience.

Here are three techniques for using a standard movie scene clapboard to review scenes from your most recent adventure-based learning activity.

Directions:
Method I - As a reviewing technique, the facilitator can recreate the scene of the most recent activity, and replay it exactly as it happened. Next, the group can ‘reshoot’ the scene, and alter the outcome as desired.

Method II - At the completion of the activity, the clapboard is passed around the group, and each member has the opportunity to share a scene with the group.

Method III - At the completion of the program, the clapboard is passed around the group, and each member has the opportunity to share their favorite scene of the day with the group, or, to show a future scene where they will use the skills they have learned today in a situation at home, at work, at school, or in their life.

Here is a testimonial from one of our customers:

"One tool my kids cannot get enough of is the Hollywood Clapboard. Nothing makes movies like having a clap board. It sets kids off in the action mode, if your making movies or making make believe moves this is a must have. Just close the clapper and ACTION! They're off."
