Move Your Body Thumball

This is our favorite way to 'stretch out' our participants before starting a program. Toss the ball around the circle, whoever catches it looks under their thumb and announces what is written there. The entire group mimics the command at the same time. For example, if the command is "Bowl a Strike Loudly", the entire group charades bowling a strike together. Encourage them to think about 'stretching' their muscles while they are performing the different actions. After 10 tosses around the circle the group should be fairly warmed up! This is a great alternative to traditional stretching--and a whole lot more fun!

Increase physical activity by acting out the movements used when playing sports, enjoying hobbies and performing exercises. Enhances co-ordination and activates muscle groups. Use sitting in a chair, standing up or full body expression in the gym. Great prompts for charades and improvisational games.
