Mood Dudes are a set of 5 squeezable cartoon faces that depict different emotions. They are much more than attractive, humorous balls, they are a tool that facilitators, counselors, teachers, and psychologists can use to help participants share and express their feelings. There are numerous ways you can use them. A popular method is to put the faces in the center of the sharing circle and ask each participant to pick a face that best describes a feeling that they experienced. Each participant then shares why they chose the feeling they did. Some other suggestions for use are:

1) Free-writing and Journaling: encourage participants to write about a time they experienced one of the feelings.

2) Role Playing: invite participants to act out a scene from a time they felt a specific emotion.

3) Recognizing Other's Emotions: Ask participants to share a story about someone they know that seemed to express one of the emotions.

4) Group Juggle: Throw them into your Group Juggle bag as a great tossable. They use all of the items in your Group Juggle bag as 'talking pieces' and ask participants to choose one item that metaphorically represents an experience they had.

Put a whole set on your desk or use them as a processing tool.

There are 5 faces in each set with the expressions of: shocked, happy, disgusted, sad, and anxious. Children and adults both love to play and process with these squeezable faces. Helps to relieve stress.

Each face is 2¾"x 2¾". Comes in a high-quality mesh stuff sack.

Here is a testimonial from one of our customers:

"My first-grade students do a unit on feelings. To frontload some of the concepts, and get them looking at how our bodies express emotion, we used the Mood Dudes. My kids loved them! We began by looking at the parts of the face and how they look different depending on the emotion that is being portrayed. We gave names to the emotions that each face is expressing.. My 1st-grade Second language learners came up with PETRIFIED!! I was so amazed! We then played a game with the Mood Dudes where the students would select a Mood Dude from a bag and "act out" the emotion being expressed. The students had to guess the emotion. They presented this to their homeroom classes as an introduction to feelings. We also did a lot of talking and writing about emotions and what makes us feel happy, sad, petrified, etc. I will definitely use these again. The possibilities are endless! Thanks to Michelle and Training Wheels!"
